Dental Receptionist (Out of Hours Bank Staff)

Location: Wigan, WN5 9AL

Hourly Rate: £NMW

Sessions available: Mondays- Friday 5:45pm-9:15pm, Saturday- Sunday 9:45am – 1:15pm

How the Urgent Care Bank works

We manage a simple online rota system where staff can register their availability to cover any shifts should they become available, manage recurring shifts, swap sessions with team members and update their availability preferences.

If you are looking to pick up extra hours on evenings and weekends on a shift pattern that you choose, this is the opportunity for you.

The ideal candidates would be willing to pick up regular shifts, and cover at our site in Wigan (we also have Urgent Care services in Bolton and Oldham but this is not essential). 

Although you may work with us on an ad-hoc basis, you will still be supported by an experienced team, high clinical standards and our ‘Best Place to Work’ ethos.

Key skills and experience:

• Excellent customer service, communication and interpersonal skills, ideally gained in a front of house customer facing role
• Strong attention to detail
• High level of organisation
• An excellent team player
• Positive nature - able to adapt and take on change easily
• Responsible and reliable with a strong work ethic
• Able to use IT and computer-based systems – Excel knowledge essential
• Willingness to learn and develop your skills
• Be educated to GCSE level (or equivalent) in Maths and English (desirable)
• Prior experience in a medical background (desirable)
