Practice Manager

Location: St Johns Dental Practice, Poundbury. Dorchester. DT1 3BX

Full Time - 40 hrs per week

• Salary: up to £30,000 per annum (depending on experience)

We are currently recruiting for a Dental Practice Manager to join our practice team in Dorchester.

Key responsibilities:

• Ensure the smooth day to day running of the dental surgeries in line with company processes
• Management of an outstanding team of clinical professionals and support staff (self-employed  and employed)
• Development, retention and recruitment of staff within the practice
• Rota management
• Manage P&L of the practices, ensuring commercial decision making to ensure targets are met and exceeded
• Take responsibility for and supervise all banking procedures, including deposits, payments and checking bank statements
• Take responsibility for and supervise NHS activity returns and receipts, checking monthly schedules
• Stock control and liaising with suppliers

 Skills and experience:

• Previous background in healthcare (Dentistry or Healthcare)
• Strong leadership experience
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Prior experience of being responsible for business performance, working to KPI’s and targets, and managing Profit and Loss
• Staff management experience, including appraisals and performance management
• Bring strong level of enthusiasm and motivation to play a key role in growing the practice
• Hold CQC registration as a Practice Manager or willingness and commitment to complete necessary requirements (including DBS check) to obtain registration (Dental Partners can support with this if new to dentistry)
